After doing a very simple and inexpensive home energy efficiency audit it looks like I can reduce my CO2 emissions by 20-30% with only a bit of sweat equity over a weekend.

I've been doing it anyway,

form energystar appliances, to compact florescent bulbs, to back yard farming and chickens, to all reused lumber, to second hand clothes, and organic foods, a bicycle kart, water saving fixtures, mulched landscaping..

we've been mixing the old techniques with the new..

I am deeply concerned that the Action Plan calls for heights minimums, but NOT maximums. The requirement for minimums is inserted in more than one place. As a long time single house owner, the idea of large scale buildings which will result in the loss of sunshine, create the famous S.F. "wind tunnels," and in general lower the quality of living factor so important in maintaining in a university town is very short sighted for an environmental group,
